Students are entitled to a one year enrolment period in which to complete their course. Students are entitled to 3 examination attempts per enrolment. Any exam scheduling or re-scheduling are subject to the applicable fees. See list of fees below.

Students who feel they may not complete their course within the one-year enrolment period may request a course extension of 6 months. Students are entitled to one course extension per enrolment. Course extensions will not be granted to those who are within 14 calendar days of a scheduled examination sitting. All granted course extensions are subject to the applicable fees. See list of fees below.

Students are advised to educate themselves on all examination policies and procedures prior to taking their examination. The examination policies and procedures are available online at www.chaip.com.

Upon successful completion of CHAIP™, students can apply to the Independent Advisory and Certification Board to receive their charter.

ENROLMENT PROCESS:Students can register for the course online at www.chaip.com or by contacting Student Services at 416-848-0277 or by email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . An email will be sent to students acknowledging receipt of registration request. Once payment is processed, the student will receive an email containing a receipt, instructions on how to access the information online, along with User ID and in initial password. Course materials will not be sent out until payment is processed.

REGISTRATION FEES: Course registration is $495.00 per enrolment ($395.00 per CHW Member). A bound copy of the online materials can be ordered separately for $50.00. The course fee includes access to the online course materials, chapter review quizzes and final exam sitting fee. Students are permitted one year, and up to 3 attempts, in which to successfully complete the exam. Should a course extension be required, student can request a 6-month extension for $100 as long as the request is submitted two weeks before the exam date. All course enrolment fees are due at the time of enrolment. Courses will be in a pre-enrolled status until all fees are paid in full. Course content will not be available on the web until all course fees are paid.
Students who wish to cancel their course enrolment within 15 calendar days of enrolling are entitled to a partial refund of their course enrolment fees. Students who wish to cancel their course 15 days or more after enrolment, will not be entitled to a refund.

EXAMINATION PROCESS
Students can register at any time for upcoming exams, so long as they do so 14 days in advance of the exam date. The exam consists of 100 multiple choice questions and is 4 hours in length. The CHAIP™ exam is written 4 times per year – March, June, September, December.Students who do not attend a scheduled exam sitting will have forfeited that exam attempt and will be charged a no-show fee.
In order to be granted credit for the course, a student must achieve a grade of no less than 60% on the course examination. Students who are unable to achieve a passing grade during the allotted examination attempts, or within their one-year enrolment period, are required to re-enroll in the course if they wish to pursue credit in the course. NOTIFCATION OF RESULTS
Examination results are available 14 business days following the examination to students with no outstanding fees. Results will be posted to a student’s virtual desktop and subsequently appear on the student’s official transcript.
Students will receive an official grade transcript after each exam.

CONFIDENTIALITY
Canadian Hedge Watch will hold in confidence student files including personal and course information and only release examination results to the student.
